The Lord of Hosts put it on my heart that I am on borrowed time. I say that literally, the time I have left on this Earth is not mine to waste. God gave me this revelation while I was in therapy yesterday. I was talking with my therapist about how I'm feeling and the heaviness on my heart to get out of my own way, well really I need to get out of God's way. I sometimes go through these periods of feeling like a burden to the people in my life, more specifically, my friends. I will endure some really heavy moments of sadness and only share that with God, which isn't bad except the Word says "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (see James 5:16).

This verse says that we are to confess our sins to each other so that we may be healed. To me this also means, when you are going through trials, confess those trials to the righteous people in your life so that you may be healed. If you are going through bouts of of depression, confess that to your God fearing friends so that they will pray with you and for you, so that you will be healed and comforted. I don't do that enough. I don't go to the people I love that I know fear the Lord. I don't think to go to my Godly friends with my burdens because the Enemy has me so confused with where my loyalty should be. Yes, I go to God with my problems, and at the same time, God will nudge me to go to my friends so they can pray with me.

See Godly friends will redirect you back to God and His Word. So when I said I was on borrowed time, I meant that I have little time to share with the God fearing women in my life just how saddened I am. I meant that God has delivered me and redeemed me, so I have limited time to bring Him glory like I should. God wants us to go to the people who will bring Him glory. God has rescued me from some really awful stuff in my life, and I need to confess that to the people who will pray for me, and so do you. God isn't going to wait forever, especially when He has brought you out of the pits of Hell for a reason. Maybe that reason is to make Godly friends that will help you understand the assignment and anointing on your life. Maybe it's so you can be delivered and saved from the prison of sin and death. Maybe it's so you can make amends with people who you've done dirty or who have done you dirty in the past. Whatever that reason is, do not waste God's time He has graciously given you.

If God has saved you from the brink of death more times than you can count, honey, you are on borrowed time. If you know in your heart of hearts that you should be dead, but miraculously you are still here, honey, you are on borrowed time. If you know that last overdose should have put you in the grave but God has you here today, sweet child, you are on borrowed time. Do not waste the precious chance God has given you, get right with Him today. Get saved today! Go start that ministry today! Go read your Bible today! Pray to Him today! Do it today! Tomorrow is promised to no one.
