Let Him Heal You

God allows us to lead certain lives as children to see how we will respond to that pain later in life. Meaning, if you have some kind of childhood trauma, God will use that to His glory and for your good if you let Him. At the same time though, the enemy (Satan) will do the same thing, but he won't use the pain for your good. It will be for his. God wants to see if what happened to you will lead you to Him or will you let those circumstances lead you down a path of sin and destruction. Will you let God win or will you let Satan win?
You see, your past isn't what matters, it's how you respond to your past, that's what matters. Are you allowing God to heal you? Or are you letting the enemy lead you down a bunch of different escape routes? The enemy will tell you to numb that pain with drugs and alcohol. Or maybe porn is your thing. Either way, apart from Jesus, there is no true healing from the pain of life. You can't run from God forever.
Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me". - John 14:6
You can either let God heal you and use you to help other people, or you can let Satan run life for you; either way you will have to answer to God at the Pearly Gates. Even the people who have committed your the most heinous crimes at some point acknowledge that God is real and we will have to answer to Him in the end. So what will you choose?
Start small in your healing journey, take the first step and admit you have a problem that's bigger than you and beyond your control. Trust me when I say this, healing is not pretty, it's not sexy, but it is attractive when you do it with God. So if you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing way to heal your heart, honey, you have some serious work to do. No worries though, God is willing to meet you where you are. God loves you exactly where you are. God wants to heal you, He wants you to grow, He wants you to mature, and He wants to be fully involved in the process. You will not be alone. You are never alone when God is within you.
