People with mental health issues are actually blessed and anointed by God. If you really think about it, you must be so incredibly special to God for the enemy to constantly take up space in your mind. To have to do battle in your own mind, with literal demons every single day says a lot about how God truly sees you. Psalms 34:19 says “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all”.
Satan will constantly attack you, using your past (depression, PTSD) against you. Using your future (anxiety) against you. Using your own perceptions and thoughts against you (schizophrenia etc.) The enemy will trick you into thinking things are happening that really aren’t. He is called the author of confusion for a reason. The enemy wants to take the most brilliant minded and innocent people to a place of sheer confusion and chaos. Some of the most talented, intelligent, loving, caring people suffer from some form of mental health issue or illness. That’s what he does, he attacks you where you’re most gifted.
I am just learning these things. Satan works hard to destroy us. He will twist any positive thoughts you may have about yourself and turn them into doubt, insecurities, self-pity, and even madness. The enemy will encourage you to think you’re not good enough to go after the thing you want most. He will help plant a seed of doubt in your mind and continuously water it with thoughts of worthlessness and regret. He will do all of this in hopes that you will never know what God has planned for you. Satan doesn’t ever want you to know that you are worth far more than gold, and that your life has more value than all the riches in all the world. Your purpose is so great that Satan himself has to attack you daily.
I mean think about it, God spent 9 months carefully forming you in your mothers womb. God created you with purpose and for a purpose. Matthew 10:30 says “But the very hairs on your head are all numbered." So you literally could pull out one of your hairs and God could tell you what number it is. He put that much detail into creating you, so don’t ever think you aren’t important. Don’t ever think you are not worthy, don’t ever think you’re not good enough. If you weren’t good enough you wouldn’t still be here.
I hope this helps you. You are so loved and so valuable to the Creator of the Universe. God.
